More than 30 years ago, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group:  “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.”  Since that day, more than $153 million has been raised for local charities across the country through Souper Bowl of Caring.  It has become a powerful movement that is transforming the time around the Big Game into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving.

In support of Souper Bowl of Caring, please join us after second service on SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY, February 2, 2020 and enjoy a bowl of chili.  A Free Will offering will be taken with donations going to The Food Pantry.  There is a sign up sheet so we can be sure to have sufficient chili for all to enjoy.  In addition, if you can help by providing some of the “fixings”, there are spaces on the sign up sheet.
